CGIA Members,
We are in a different and unique situation. Changing day by day. As you all are aware, the situation with COVID-19 has put a stop to what we all know as the “norm”. We are having to adjust our entire lives to help in the prevention of this virus. Many are still having to report to work and when called upon. I am currently on standby to deploy in response to the outbreak.
With not having an end in sight, or how long that it will take to get back to some kind of normalcy; it is with great sadness that we have decided to cancel this year’s annual conference in Phoenix. This was not an easy decision, but the safety of our members comes first. We want to thank Gus for all the hard work that he had already put into planning the conference. Because of all the interest we received in having the conference in Arizona, we will move forward with holding the 2021 conference there. There had always been talk about holding the conference on a biannual bases, so we can just say this is a trial run.
Please remember the buddy check, and keep everyone in your thoughts and prayers. As with anything, once we get through this, and we will, we will just be that much stronger.
