It is with a saddened heart that I report that Don Roark passed away on Friday, November 20, 2015. Don was 71 years old. As many of you know, for the past several years, Don had been fighting a serious battle with cancer. He was our immediate past President and did an outstanding job leading our group with his serious, gentle, highly organized approach - he was the type of guy it was hard refuse when he asked for assistance - you knew he had the best interest of CGIA at heart and you wanted to help him get the job done. He knew the history of CGIA and was always ready to share his experience and expertise. On a personal note, I had a great deal of respect for Don - his leadership and organizational skills were particularly impressive. It was only a month or so before a reunion when he was first diagnosed - it took him a little time before he acknowledged he would not be able to attend - he probably had an argument with his doctors about it, but the final decision was he should not attend. Not unexpectedly, he had many important medical and family issues to deal with at the time. But, despite all he had to deal with, he was constantly on the phone with me to ensure the reunion would go on as planned and he helped me step into his role to ensure the meeting was a success. To me, his dedication to mission was one of his strongest traits and for that, and I will always be thankful for his help. Please keep his family in your prayers.

REPORT ON 2015 CONFERENCE IN BRANSON, MO
The 2015 reunion conference was held at the Radisson Hotel in Branson, MO from 24 to 27 SEP. There were approximately 35 guests in attendance. The event was well coordinated thanks to the Herculean efforts of Bruce Shiels - down to the smallest detail, he ensured that nothing was overlooked. The relationships he has forged in Branson paid off well as we were treated like royalty at the entertainment shows he arranged for us - two top notch shows. Bruce, we can not thank you enough for the outstanding job!
Please note that the dates for the next two years are set for 22 to 25 Sep, 2016 and the 2017 dates are set for 21 to 24 Sep, 2017 - both scheduled for Branson. I urge everyone to make plans to attend - this was a great chance to catch up with old friends and forge relationships with new friends.
On Thursday evening we met at Charlie's Steak and Ale house where Dick Dionisio and his wife Madeline were surprised by a CGIA themed cake celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary.
Our business meeting on Friday lasted only 65 minutes - a possible world record for CGIA. The minutes of the business meeting (as well as the executive board minutes) are posted elsewhere on this web page. The short meeting left plenty of time for swapping tales of years past - most of which started with "This is no........."
The highlight of the conference was the dinner on Saturday evening - great company, and a tribute to the God-Father of CGIS - Dick Dionisio. He was accompanied to the conference by his wife Madeline, one of their daughter's, Trish Braun, her husband Chris Braun and their daughter, Lauren Braun. We presented Dick with a badge replica as our way of saying thanks for all he did for CGIS over many, many years.
At some point during this upcoming year, we will initiate the election process. According to our by-laws, 2016 is an election year. More to follow........
While it appears that our organization will never fill a large hotel for our conferences, even with our small turnout this year, I believe that everyone fully enjoyed themselves this year. I encourage everyone to give serious thought to attending next year. Bruce, I am sure, is already working to prepare for the 2016 conference and he has promised to arrange other round of good entertainment.
Sincerely,
Steve Little
President

We are very pleased to announce that Dick Dionisio will be attending this year's reunion in Branson along with his wife Madeline. As many of you know, were it not for Dick's perseverance, diplomacy, and amazing skills in working the bureaucratic maze of CG headquarters, CGI would have never come to be the professional organization it grew into. I personally owe a great deal to Dick for him having taken a chance with me when I came on the job back in '73. I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible in Branson and know that you will enjoy Dick's company as much as I will.

The 2015 CGIA Conference/Reunion is set for 24 to 27 Sept in Branson, MO. Last years's conference was great - we kept the business meeting to less than 90 minutes - and I absolutely promise that this year it will be considerably shorter. Bruce Shiels has done another outstanding job to ensure we are treated like royalty.
From my point of view, the conference will be a vacation at a great spot, at a great time of year where people of similar interests who were all members of a great organization can meet and mingle and swap stories lies - nothing more than camaraderie of professionals who share a common past. I look forward to seeing people I only knew by name, people I have met CGIA, and people who have made me be proud to say I was part of the CG investigative organization. I urge every member to make the trip to Branson - you will have a great time.
Thanks - Steve Little, President
03/29/2015: Information and registration forms for the September conference have been posted up under Conferences.
You can go to http://www.radisson.com/cgia2015 to log on and make reservations directly with the hotel. Bruce has lined up some group visits to some of Branson's best shows. All members in good standing should receive a package from Bruce within the next few weeks or so with details. It should be another great chance to catch up with old acquaintances, put faces with names you knew from the past, and swap a few stories! I hope to see as many of you as possible at the conference.
Our CGIA "apparel shop" has run it's course. Jim Echoff, our Treasurer took on this collateral duty a few years back. After looking at the amount of effort compared to our sales, he has recommended, and I fully concur, that we will sell off the remaining inventory and call it a day. We will get a listing of what is available and post it so we can wrap this up sooner rather than later.
