Coast Guard Investigative Association (CGIA) Update #11
CGIA Members,
I write this update with great sadness, but a decision was made yesterday to
cancel the October 2022 CGIA Conference/Reunion. This was a difficult decision;
however, there was not the anticipated participation. At the COB yesterday
(09/15/2022), only 3 individuals had made hotel reservations. Yesterday was the
deadline date for the Association to cancel the Conference/Reunion without having
to pay penalties. Yesterday was also the date the first deposit was due for this
event.
Once again, please know that canceling this event was a difficult decision;
however, one that was made with the best interests of the Association in mind.
The board plans to have a Zoom meeting to discuss the next steps and how we
want to see CGIA move forward. If you have, any questions/concerns please feel
free to contact any of the board members.
